Terms and Conditions of YO PLACE Enquiry

Booking instructions and charge guidelines   

1. Renters can check the facilities and venue availability by telephone or email before submitting application form. YO PLACE does not accept telephone/verbal reservations.   

2. Please submit the following information for application ：   

A. YO PLACE Member 

• • • Submit membership numbers and emails ；  

B. Charitable Institutions  

1. 1. • Recognized charitable certificates of a public nature issued by the Inland Revenue Department under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance  

C. Non-profit Organisations 

1. 1. • A certificate of company or business registration certificate  

1. 1. • Articles of Association (to prove its non-profit-making purpose)  

D. Commercial Organisations  

1. 1. •  Business registration certificate  

3. Upon receipt of the application, YO PLACE will reply within three working days. YO PLACE will issue a Notice of Approval for The Site Reservation to approved applicants. Reservation is confirmed only upon the return of signed or stamped (applied to organisation applicants) receipt of the Notice of Approval for The Site Reservation; and pay the fee by the deadline indicated in the Notice of Approval for The Site Reservation. 

4. After offer confirmation is signed, full payment is compulsory for any cancellation.  

5. Any payment failure by the deadline will be deemed to be a cancellation of application.  

6. Payment method:   

Fees can be paid by cheque or bank in transfer. Payment details will be listed on the approval notice. However, payment by promissory bank note or credit card is not accepted.  

7. Reschedule:  

If a reschedule is needed after signed confirmation, YO PLACE must be notified by email and confirmed by YO PLACE. Besides, the renter is required to pay the following reschedule handling fee:   

• • After reschedule approval, the site must be used within the next 6 months of the original date;   
  • YO PLACE does not guarantee the availability of the original booked venues and services within 6 months; 
  • No refund will be given for all expired unused venues and services.   
  • If, after rescheduling, the fee is higher than the original charge, the renter will have to pay the difference. YO PLACE will refund the difference if the original charge is lower.  

8.  Cancellation policy：  

All applications for cancellation of the rental of site facilities must be submitted by e-mail and the paid payments will be refunded pro rata in accordance with the following cancellation notice period:

9. Bad weather arrangements  

• • When the typhoon signal No.8 or above is hoisted, all YO PLACE venues are closed and reopen in two hours after the cancellation of typhoon signal no.8.  
  • When the black rainstorm warning is hoisted before YO PLACE opening hours, all sites will be closed and reopen in two hours after the cancellation of the black rainstorm warning.   
  • If a black rainstorm warning is hoisted during the use of the site, the YO PLACE sites will not be closed unless there is a danger. Renters will continue to use the site facilities and space.   
  • When extreme conditions are announced, all YO PLACE sites are closed and reopen in two hours after the cancellation of the extremes conditions.  
  • If extreme conditions are released at or after 3 pm, all venues will be closed. 

10. The condition of force majeure   

• • YO PLACE waivers any liability in the event of unforeseeable or force majeure during the use of the site(include but not limited to major disasters, large-scale traffic disruption, on-site air conditioning, power or video system failure) resulting in the closure of the site or the failure to provide services.

11. Refund or reschedule arrangements apply for site closure if the closure of the site is caused by the above conditions (arts. 9 and 10). The rental date may be changed or refunded as follows:   

A. The renter may, with the availability of the site facilities and services, change the unused rental period in the next 6 months.

or  

B. Refund the booked facilities and services.

Renters are required to notify YO PLACE by email within the next 30 days for refund or reschedule arrangements they seek for, and if no notice is given for more than 30 days, the refund or reschedule will be automatically expired.   

12. YO PLACE venue and facility fees, conditions and terms will be subject to adjustment without further notice. The latest updates for announcements and adjustments are subjected to online version.
