The Shenzhen Communist Youth League offers free short-term housing (5-7 days) and employment guidance for Hong Kong and Macau youths working in Shenzhen since April 2022. The initial hostel is located at Wanke Shenzhen Plaza on Shennan East Road in the Luohu District, conveniently close to Hong Kong. The initiative has expanded to include over 10 hostels across various districts including Pingshan, Longhua, and Nanshan. These hostels provide not only basic accommodation but also communal spaces like activity and study rooms.
Eligibility
To be eligible for accommodation at the Shenzhen Youth Apartments, applicants must meet the following criteria as outlined on the Shenzhen Youth Community official website:
- College graduates or higher, who graduated within the last year.
- Currently residing in Shenzhen without permanent residence.
- Healthy individuals without major or infectious diseases.
- First-time applicants to the Shenzhen Youth Apartment.
- Limit of one application per person.
Application Procedure
If you satisfy all eligibility criteria, you can apply for accommodation online. Ensure you submit your application 3-15 days before your intended check-in date (excluding public holidays) to allow time for processing.
Online Application Process
- Visit the official Youth Hostel website or access the "Youth Hostel" mini-program on WeChat.
- Create an account on the website, complete the registration form, and upload required documents (ID, graduation certificate, degree certificate, etc.). Submit your application for review by the staff.
- Once review is completed, the result will be published on your account under the "My" section on the website. You can check the status.
- Upon approval, select your preferred hostel, submit a check-in request, and await assignment.
Accommodation is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. In case of excess applications, placements are prioritized by submission order.
To check the status of your application, navigate to "My" - "My Accommodation" on the website.
Check-in
- Bring your check-in application form and confirmation message as proof upon arrival at the hostel on your scheduled date.
- If you need to cancel, do so at least 1 business day in advance via the "My Accommodation" section on the website.
- Failure to check in without prior cancellation notice will result in the cancellation of your reservation and loss of eligibility.

Located on Zhongshan South Street in the Nantou Ancient City area of Nanshan District, this location is close to the Technology Park, Zhongshan Park, and various commercial areas. It has convenient transport, with just a 12-minute walk to the nearest metro station (Nantou Ancient City Station). Additionally, taking a bus can get you to the Technology Park, High-tech Park, and others within 20 minutes. |
